Our hearts go to all those affected in the Beirut Explosion — the past few days we thought about how best we can help our beloved Beirut and here are a few actions we’ve taken:
- Donation to the World Food Program:
- As supply chain professionals, we understand the negative impact the port explosion will have on the flow of goods into Lebanon
- A country that imports more than 80% of its basic needs, with the only port available being put to ashes, we sadly foresee a stressful coming months
- Trella will be donating the revenues of one full day across all our markets to the WFP
- Donation to the Red Cross:
- Nothing to say here — May the wounded, heal. The lost, rest in peace. The broken, rise again!
- Trella will be donating the revenues of one full day across all our markets to the Lebanese Red Cross
While it seems like this is doomsday for our brothers and sisters in Lebanon, one thing life has taught us is that Life Goes On and there will be light and this (too) shall pass!
